PROVIDE A ‘SYSTEM SOLUTION’ FOR SOUTHEND HOSPITAL
Having successfully supplied numerous roof access systems to many locations within the health sector, SAFETYWORKS & Solutions were delighted to provide a comprehensive roof safety solution for installation at Southend Hospital.
The project, spanning the hospital’s entire eight-acre site, involved the upgrading of the hospital roof access & safety systems to fourteen separate areas. Following a full site assessment of the existing systems, SAFETYWORKS & Solutions submitted a precise report & plan of recommendation for the supply of a new, up-graded system that would enable operatives to undertake maintenance tasks at height safely & securely.
SOUTHEND HOSPITAL (Part 2)
To ensure safe roof access, SAFETYWORKS & Solutions manufactured & installed sixteen Access Ladders, & for edge protection & easy movement around the various hospital roof areas, their Easyguard 2 Clamp-On Handrail system was installed, in conjunction with their Flexideck Walkway system. Easyguard is a permanent free-standing handrail, offering a modular, non-penetrative system, which is lightweight in design, easy to assemble & is weatherproof & corrosion resistant. Extensively installed throughout many commercial environments, Flexideck Walkway system is manufactured from 99% recycled polyethylene, resulting in a lightweight, non-penetrative & rot free system that is suitable for use with both new build & retrofit installations. It also offers low maintenance &, as further testimony to its excellent performance, a 25-year guarantee is standard.
