Description 260 l/m of Easyguard 2 were installed to 4 different roof areas. To fit in with Skanska s over subscribed crane schedule materials were brought in on timed deliveries then installed within Kilobuild s tight program as areas became available.
Jersey Hospital, St Helier.
Description: 160 l/m of Easyguard 2 was installed with 80 l/m of Flexideck to provide safe access in 3 directions to the new block at jersey Royal Infirmary.
3 new stair and ladder units were also installed where the new block adjoined existing buildings.
Everything was installed during 1 heavily choreographed visit.
Brunel University, Uxbridge.
Description: Originally an order for 1100m of Easyguard handrails, this project grew and grew.
20 new caged access ladders some with security shields to prevent student high jinx steel walk ways and Flexideck and other bespoke steel fabrications were installed by Safetyworks.
Originally planned for 2 deliveries and crane lifts; with only 4 days notice the bulk of materials had to be re-scheduled for 1 main delivery with a crane lift due to the sensitivity of the site!
A 44 tonne lorry was hired in at very short notice to compliment our own fleet and a new lifting plan draughted to cater for our biggest ever crane operation with the shortest ever lead in period

Description: A typical Easyguard handrails installation.
London Borough of Camden.
Description: Over 3000l/m of Easyguard free standing handrails were installed to over 25 different blocks as the roofs were replaced to allow safe access for roof maintenance and other trades such as heating engineers and aerial and satellite installers. The local authority as the building owners have a responsibility for all personnel accessing their roofs.
John Lewis Partnership Granby, Milton Keynes.
Description: 355 l/m of Flexideck and 465 l/m of FallGuard were installed on to the cementatious fragile roof sheets to provide safe access to maintain and clean the gutters.
Additional sections of Flexideck and FallGuard were provided for moving around the roof to provide temporary safe walk ways to various pieces of plant in other locations across the roof.
Her Majesties Court Services safety up-grades
Description: Safetyworks were employed to install Easyguard free standing handrails, ladders and staircases to 8 courts across the south east.
Originally only Dartford Court was to be powder coated (black) with the remaining 7 being in a galvanised finish, in the end 7 were powder coated with only Hasting galvanised. 5 different colours were used. Oxford, Bedford and Reading Brown, St Albans Magnolia, Hove white, and Horsham Blue; this included coating all the steelwork too.
In all over 30 ladders, steel walk ways and stairs were manufactured and over 2000m of handrail installed.
